When/where is the event?

This year’s summer party will take place on Wednesday, July 22nd at Liberty House (76 Audrey Zapp Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07305) from 12pm to 5pm.

When do I need to RSVP by?

To best account for logistics, please RSVP by Friday, July 10th (but the sooner, the better!)

Who is invited to the event?

All Mediaocean employees in the NYC-area and neighboring states are welcome to the annual MO NYC Summer Party. Unfortunately, this is an employee only event: +1s and pets will not be able to attend.

I am a fully remote employee but willing to travel to the event. Am I able to attend?

Everyone is welcome to attend the event. That said, any requested expensed travel must be pre-approved by your department’s budget holder. To learn more, please speak with your manager/department.

How do I get to the venue?

As this venue is outside the city, there are a number of routes you can take. We suggest one of the following plans:

- Option 1 (best for those going to the office): Ferry - The Liberty Landing Ferry is free for all event attendees, making stops at Brookfield Place (NYC), Warren Street (NJ), and Liberty Landing (NJ – our venue stop). Ferries will depart as follows:

- Departing Brookfield Place (NYC): Hourly at the 45-minute mark: 10:45am, 11:45am, 12:15* (added ferry for our party)12:45pm, etc.

- Departing Liberty Landing (NJ): Hourly at the 30-minute mark: 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm* (added ferry for our party), 5:30pm, etc.

· Guests may arrive/depart at whatever time is most convenient for them. If you’d like to request an early arrival at Liberty house, please reach out to Nick Cipriano.

- Please note: As this ferry is also open to the public, they will maintain a strict schedule, so be sure to arrive early.

Once you arrive at the ferry, representees from Volo (our event production group) in bright pink shirts will guide you.

- Option 2: Driving - Free parking allowed at Liberty House - 76 Audrey Zapp Dr, Jersey City, NJ 07305

(upon arrival, guests will need to scan the QR code at the venue kiosk and register their license plate)
If you are driving, please celebrate responsibly.

- Option 3: Public Transit / Car Service – NJ Transit/Path (Hoboken or Exchange Place) or Light Rail to Essex Street or Marin Blvd, then walk to Liberty Landing ferry stop. RideShare App / Car service also available directly to the venue, using the above address.

- If driving or using taxi service, consider carpooling with colleagues!

Should I go to the office first?

Leaving from the office to the Brookfield Place Terminal, especially if you are traveling from out of town, is our best suggestion. A light breakfast will be served at the office, after which we encourage teams to walk together from the office to the Brookfield Place Ferry Terminal (about a 15min walk).

What should I expect when I arrive at the venue?

Your Mediaocean party crew will be located at the check-in station inside. Signage will be visible around the venue to direct you to the correct entrance. Representatives from Volo (our event production group) in bright pink shirts will also be there to guide and assist.

What should I bring?

We recommend traveling light and only brining your day essentials (portable charger, sun protection, an air of excitement and fun etc.). Should you need to bring a bag, there is an onsite coat/bag check, free of charge.

What if I have meetings or a heavy workload that day?

Please work with your direct manager to coordinate your schedule. Additionally, please inform external parties/clients of this company-wide offsite, and that you will be out of the office / delayed in response.

Will there be food?

Of course! Food and beverages will be provided! (Please indicate any food or dietary restrictions in the RSVP form)

What will we be doing?

Full agenda outlined above, but expect a mix of hanging out with colleagues, soaking in the sun, and of course, HAVING FUN!

Will it be indoors or outdoors? What happens if it rains?

Both! We will have access to Liberty House’s entire outside area, cabanas, and two of their indoor event spaces. In the event of rain, the event will continue on, using the aforementioned covered spaces.

Is there a dress code?

As this is a summer outdoor/ event, please make sure to dress in cool and comfortable clothing – think summer smart casual.

- While we want everyone to be comfortable, please remember this is a work event and to dress accordingly.

Can I leave before the event ends?

Yes, but you’d miss out on all the other fun activities planned for the day! That said, departing ferries leave every hour at the 30-minute mark (see above).

I do not want to attend the event; do I still need to work that day?

As it is your choice not to attend, it will be a normal working day for you. Alternatively, you also have the choice of using PTO that day.
